Since 1990, the Alumnae/i Fellows program has been
established to provide
The tenure of Alumnae/i fellows spans either January interterm or the Spring semester each academic year. Applicants may apply as often as they wish but will not be awarded an Alumnae/i Fellowship more than twice in three academic years.
Proposals for the 2009 spring semester must be submitted
by Friday, August 1, 2008. All proposals will be reviewed
by the Alumnae/i Fellows Committee, made up of two appointed alumnae/i, two
faculty members appointed by the Provost, one student, and one NCAA staff
member. The committee will then send its recommendations to the appropriate
Division for its consideration. All
Alumnae/i Fellows must be approved as Adjunct Faculty according to the New
College Handbook on page 24 http://www.ncf.edu/Provost/PDF/FacHand2007_08.pdf (4.1.3 copied at the bottom of this page). In the New College
tradition, the Alumnae/i Fellow will evaluate the work of students in the
course through narrative evaluations. Upon final approval by the Division, the
Fellow will be notified by acceptance letter and email.
